CEO says Russia’s VEB can issue hard currency Eurobonds ‘16
SOCHI, Oct 20 (PRIME) -- Russia’s state Vnesheconombank (VEB) may issue Eurobonds denominated in foreign currencies in 2016, CEO Vladimir Dmitriyev told reporters Tuesday.
“We are holding this topic within sight. It is clear that the Russian market does not have such a capacity and it does not meet our demands to this extent, this is why we are considering different options,” Dmitriyev said, emphasizing that ruble bonds will remain in the focus of VEB’s borrowing policies.
VEB is not expected to have any debt servicing troubles next year, he said.
The bank is on the black lists of both the U.S. and the E.U./ but Dmitriyev said earlier that VEB can issue Chinese yuan-denominated bonds.
